I found some retail 3com 3c19250 ethernet adapters over at usbdiscount.com. They are priced at $39.99 which isn't too bad. Here is the link:

Out of stock at http://store.yahoo.com/usbdiscount/3comusbnetin.html as of 2/20/2002.

TigerDirect doesn't return any items search for 3c19250. TD has the 3C460B, which other threads indicate doesn't work with Audrey.

WOW. Those went quick at Tiger Direct. How much was shipping, anyways? I wonder how many they actually had in stock to have only lasted 12 hours or so?

I didn't buy any of them so I can't say how much shipping was. I saw them offered at around 10 pm Tuesday.

I bought two of them from Tiger Direct and it says that they are backordered. The total price was 69 and change including two day shipping.

Just to let everyone know, the ones I ordered on TD were put on backorder, so I called and the guy said that they are on permanate backorder so I don't think we will see them any time soon on Tiger. (I cancelled my order)

So where can we get one? Do we have to get one of those Netgear/flashed adapters from ebay?

Make your own, the Netgear adapters work like a dream. Watch out for Dlink and Linksys, because they use multiple chipsets. Also, I recommend that when you flash it, you do it on a Windows 98 machine, because if you use a Windows NT/2000/XP system and a premade BIN file, you are going to have the same hardware address on your adapter as on the BIN file, this can be a pain for some things. I recommend you do it with MACPARSE and be very sure to reset the hardware address to be the same address on the adapter label.

FYI there are refurb'd Netgear 101's for $14.95 at:

http://www.softwareandstuff.com/h_net_ngea101.html

Just picked up two - haven't flashed them yet.

My local fry's also has the refurbs for $19.95.

Happy hacking :)

I ordered a dozen of the Netgear EA101c from Software and Stuff. They arrived today. Factory sealed refurbs from Netgear. Look to be excellent. FYI, Netgear packs them in boxes of 10 for anyone thinking about quantity buying. Just to echo, these are great once flashed. Sure I hosed my first one and had to put the Linksys binary back on it :) but it all worked out okay. I certainly learned how all the utilities work.
