I need help... is my audrey dead??? (modified 0 times) drgambit Profile Hello everyone, I recently purchased a 'new' audrey online, only had it plugged in for ONE day... and now there is nothing on the LCD screen, no backlight no NOTHING. I hear sound, however, the startup giggle. But no images on the screen. Tried unplugging-plugging in several times... Please, I need to know what I can do to determine that it may just be a loose connection, or something else besides a dead screen. Thanks... DrGambit 01-29-2002 14:45:08

You can get one in the CF sharing list over at http://forums.delphiforums.com/audreyapps if you don't have any other way of borrowing or making one from the Internet. I've restored two of them that displayed the same symptoms you describe. I've been hearing an awful lot lately about Audreys doing this, more than I ever did. I wonder if some of the images (both factory and hacked) are unstable, or perhaps a part of the Audrey hardware is? I can't imagine that the length of time between prototype and production model was any greater than one year. Many of the Audreys were probably manufactured in the pre-Christmas 2000 period, making them about a year old now. Hunter112 01-29-2002 17:26:45
