Don't you love self-follow up's? I know I do.
So like most impatient people, I went off and figured it out myself. I couldn't get Epic to compile cleanly on any version of QNX that I had (I tried 6.0, 6.1, and 6.2.1). Eventually I decided it wasn't worth my while.
When I tried irc-ii (which epic is based on) it compiled with ease. So I copied the binary over to the audrey and she was pleased. I did find that I was running a little low on space, and I had to go delete a few things to keep the application from crashing on impact. But now it seems to be working great with some space to live in.
If you would like to try a copy of irc-ii on your audrey, I have taken the work out of the process. Go to http://www.gloop.net/audrey and download the irc-ii tar file. Simply untar, and run install.sh to install it. I also made a link to the binary as "ircii" so you can simply run "ircii" from term to fire it up.
Also in the /audrey directory, I put a copy of JabberX (tar'd and feathered) with an install.sh file. This was more for my convenience because I got sick of reading through the FAQ and putting the files where they need to go. Additionally, doing it "my way" prevents you from having to change ENV variables. Yay? NOTE: JabberX is pretty damned huge. Make sure your flash is not full when you are attempting to untar and run this booger.
NOTE 2: Infinity u1.1s (the newest) does not leave enough room for both of these programs. Delete the Aps you will never use if you plan on goofing around with these IRC and Jabber Aps.
Still, if anyone has a copy of the epic binary, I would still like to try it and would appreciate a copy emailed to me (ray AT gloop.net).
Thanks!!!!
