I would like to create an icon that will run a program to backup Audrey on a flashcard. I would prefer to run it from "Audrey Option" As you can see, I'm new to the operative system. I would to take this occasion to Thank Jim and others that developed great programs. To name few, ACID, PHpuke. These programs are making life little easer. A thanks goes as well as the others that help other people to setup Audrey's. This is a great forum. I only wish that sometime they could write in a way that it easy for novice like me to understand.
Thanks,
Aldo

RE:How to create an batch file similar to Windows (modified 0 times)
Looks like Ijust posted a similar question. To partly answer your question.... the equivalent of a batch file would be a shell script. you put the command in a file (say backup --no need for any extension unless you fancy having one) and then do chmod +x backup
Now when you run backup it will execute the command(s) in the file. The issue I can not address (and hence my other post) is how to launch the script from the Audrey Options.

RE:How to create an batch file similar to Windows (modified 0 times)
In order to put an app in Options you need to modify the /kojak/SystemPanel.init file. In that file you should be able to make sense of the format and create your own buttons. I am at work right now and can not post better instructions but that should get you started.
