How did you get it installed on the Audrey? All I can find is an installer file that needs an installer program I don't have on my Audrey.

yeah it's up now. http://www.otakupc.com/anonftp/files/phicq.zip i don't know how long it will stay up i don't like direct links to my files floating around it will slow my site down afte a while.

I just drop this file in a share, the audrey was able to run it from any location. it's about 700k unzipped. that's a lot of spoace on the audrey.

This hasn't been mentioned in a while so I thought I'de mention it again. You don't have to have QNX installed to get a binary out of a QNX package. QNX application packages are just .tgz (tar and gunzip) files. If you rename the the extension to .tgz, then winzip will happily open them. Inside, you'll usually find yet another .qpr file. Just rename it with .tgz and use winzip again. You will often find a lot of files inside, but its usually fairly obvious which one is the binary from looking at the filenames and sizes.

I'm not using NAT I'm using ICS..
ICQ works just fine on other "normal" computers on my network. Are you saying there is something special I have to do to get PHICQ to run in ICS?

"Unknown symbol" errors usually result from using ftp to transfer the file in ASCII mode. Try to ftp the file again, but this time be sure to type "bin" for binary mode.

It's a bit of a large fine so i didn't even FTP it to the audrey, i just have a shared netowrk drive that all my devices connect to. In this case i created a share for aurdey and just droped the file in there from one of my windows boxes. but yes that error is commonly associated with ACSII transfers.

I have not try connecting my audrey directly to the cable modem yet. if anyone know what is going on without having to hook it up to the cable modem, please help.

I also installed PHICQ and had the same results. I can connect and receive messages just fine, but I cannot send them. Actually, I got two messages to go through the first night and nothing after that. I have tried it on my network and also connected directly with the modem. I believe the problem is that PHICQ will only connect to the ICQ network through the OLD servers (icq.mirabilis.com, icq2.mirabilis.com......icq5.mirabilis.com) on port 4000. The newer ICQ clients use login.icq.com on port 5190. I tried the newer settings and PHICQ will not connect. Several of my friends lost the ability ot send messages with their pc icq clients recently and solved teh problem bu upgrading to the newest version We originally thought the problem must be in the app, but not I am beginning to think the difference was what server the old and new clients connected to by default. I have sent email to the authors of PHICQ with no response. Has anyone out there actually gotten this to work. If so, what version of QNX were you using. I am still using the one that the Audrey came with (with the updates and hacks of course).
