After you get shell follow these easy steps to update your channels. Where a space is needed I typed (SPACE). Do not type the word SPACE. I also included notes in parentheses.
1. Enter the shell
2. TYPE: cd(SPACE)/data/XML/Channels PRESS ENTER
3. TYPE: mkdir(SPACE)MyNewChannel (or whatever you want to call it) PRESS ENTER
4. TYPE: mkdir(SPACE)MyNewChannel/.template PRESS ENTER
5. TYPE: mkdir(SPACE)MyNewChannel/Graphic PRESS ENTER
6. TYPE: vi(SPACE)MyNewChannel/.template/index.shtml PRESS ENTER
7. TYPE: i (to enter insert mode) DO NOT PRESS ENTER
8. TYPE: <html><body><meta(SPACE)HTTP-EQUIV="refresh"(SPACE)Content; ="0;(that’s a zero)URL=http://www.Your Site Here.com/"></body></html>
9. Press the SnapShot key on your keyboard (to leave insert mode)
10. TYPE: ZZ PRESS ENTER
11. TYPE: rm(SPACE).ChannelXX (with 'XX' being whatever channel number you want to use; such as 01,02) PRESS ENTER
12. TYPE: ln(that’s a lower case L)(SPACE)-s(SPACE)/data/XML/Channels/MyNewChannel(SPACE).ChannelXX (with 'XX' as above) PRESS ENTER
13. TYPE: cd(SPACE)/data/XML/Channels/MyNewChannel/Graphic PRESS ENTER
14. TYPE: ftp PRESS ENTER
15. TYPE: open 64.221.45.139 (or whatever FTP address you want to go to) PRESS ENTER
16. TYPE: anonymous (or whatever username you need to type) PRESS ENTER
17. PRESS ENTER when asked for the password (or enter one if you have to)
18. TYPE: binary PRESS ENTER
19. TYPE: get Graphic.gif (or whatever your 120x60 graphic icon gif is named) PRESS ENTER
20. TYPE: bye
21. Close the shell by clicking on the little square in the upper right hand corner.
