I couldn't update my Audrey so I bought a eFilm cf 32m. and used it to clone my good one. It worked fine.
Now the question:
On another post I saw someone mention that you don't needa cf writer to make a cf image from a file you download off the net.
IE. download an image off www.audreyhacking.com files area and cat it to the cf card in your audrey.
What is the command to write the cf
cat UpdateWithShellPlus.cf > /dev/cf ???
or something like that?Plan for the future, but live each day as if it's your last.
I've read so many posting on updating the Audrey and DNS update setting and time settings.It seems that the DNS (66.17.16.112) that was given just won't load onto my Audrey or update it. I just got mine 4 weeks ago and my Audrey is still with the same OS date that it came with. I'd like to back up my system to my 32mg CF card and then try to update the channels where thay will work. However those posting were a few months old and the DNS quit working is what I figured out. Also, I'd like some stright forward info on how to get into my system. This Audrey has really got me baffold. Just a NOTE: Is't it by law that even though a Company ends the life of a product that they are bound to give support to that product for 5 years after the discontinuation of it?
I unpluged Audrey with the CF card installed and corrupted it, now it won't flash my Audrey at all.
I tried to cat the system again, load an image off my win rig, I even reformatted and tried to cat and or install an image but it wont work.
how can I save this cf and make it work?
