In a matter of days my update will be available for download. I have to check Audrey keeps running, I have to delete all personal information and last but not least update the web site. Finally I will have my life back..

More "disk" space, more available memory, more apps, fast clean boot, better performance and highly configurable for individual users are the key words. It's a true QNX platform with only a few kojak utilities and the buttons still running. I'ts also ready to run 6.1 binaries., but at this time it's still pure QNX 6.0.

You can check it out on the next web pages:

The new image sounds AWESOME- nice collection of apps, smooth look, and faster is always better. I have enjoyed your original image and look forward to the ACID & picture frame app. The new email app looks to be a huge improvement over stock Audrey app.
Whether you get a lot of replies here or not, your enduring work on the image and contributions to the community are GREATLY appreciated. THANKS again!!!

New Image sounds great. Thanks a lot for all the contribution to this community!

A question (out of curosity). Why did you decide o take out the addressbok and datebook from the previous and this image. Is it that most people do not use it or is it a technical issue of Kojak apps existing with Shelf etc? (My wife uses these two apps a lot so I have to keep them on my Audries!)

Thanks again

jb

jbhasin,
Well if you use Audrey for the Datebook and AddressBook you're all set with original Audrey. My image is meant for those who don't use those apps that take up a lot of space that can be used for the apps I brought in. All I do is create a new choice for Audrey users.

I really like the looks of this new image, but I also would find the Datebook/Address book feature useful.
It should be possible to start with the new QNX image and add Datebook functionality back in. (space permitting)
Does anybody know what files would be required to get this image back to where I could sync my Visor with it?

Thanks

I agree. I'd laso like to use jukebox's image but also have the calendar and address book apps. if some one can provide instructions or a tar ball. that would be great!

What can I say, it's probably not doable to get Datebook and AddressBook back in this image. I've not only taken out those apps, I've deleted the whole database storage system too, which was the XML part in Audrey I believe. I needed the space to do what I have done for a stand alone Audrey. There's realy nothing left related to those apps. Sorry guys..
However you could link it all in again from a share with some small modifications in the image. That wouldn't be too difficult to do, but I will take a vacation from Audrey first and have my life back for a while. In the meantime something good may happen with the Disk on Key. Maybe this fall..

If there's someone around who has the time and is knowledgeable in QNX, Audrey and networking I'm willing to help, but at this time I cannot do it myself. This has to be done:
- Free the Datebook and AddressBook buttons and rename the files behind them and adjust a couple of menu entries accordingly.
- make a couple of scripts to exit(=slay) old Datebook and AddressBook for when they are active again. Put those exits in wm.menu.
- copy the file system of an original Audrey to a share.
- link in all executables in /kojak that are commented out in the 3 config files and uncomment those lines (on purpose I have nothing deleted in those config files)
- link in all directories (or part of it's contents) that I deleted in whole or part, such as strings, gifs, sounds and more
- probably you need a large mount file with a bunch of special links that don't survive a reboot and you continue linking till it all works.
And you're back again with Datebook and AddressBook in Another QNX Image.
Let me know if I can help.

The next update is ready and should be available for download before this weekend. Audreyhacking will host it again and I will make the zip available for them Wednesday night. As soon as I have their confirmation I exchange my audrey web pages for new ones for the update and let you know here of course too.
