Audery says CONNECTED but I can't connect to anything

I've had my Audrey since last winter and it's been great up until a week ago. i've had it connected to my 10/100 hub which is connected to router and then to the cable modem. I've never had a problem getting/sending mail or surfing the web.

But lately, I can't do any of that. I've tried everything I've read about but still nothing. Audrey shows me: connected by USB Ethernet, a valid IP Address, a valid netmask, a valid gateway and a MAC address. I say they are valid because my other computer on the hub lists the same info except for the IP address being 1 location different.

When I connect Audrey directly too the cable modem I can get a different IP address but I still can't do anything. It says CONNECTED but it won;t connect to anything. When I try to send/recieve mail or locate a website, the ethernet adapter blinks once and then nothing.

I switched the CONNECTION TYPE from USB ETHERNET to MODEM and it changed to NOT CONNECTED and of course listed no IP ADDRESS in the profile. Makes sense right? But as soon as I switched the connection type back to USB ETHERNET it said connected, even though the ethernet cable wasn't connected to the USB adpter!! It also listed the last IP ADDRESS in the profile even though it wasn't connected.

What else can I try? Obviously Audrey is seeing the router and the cable modem, it's just not getting passed that.

Help!

Hope you have a working copy archived of your current image. If so reflash Audrey. If not you may be in trouble. Try to setup all information in ActionPalette's Internet Settings and do'nt skip anything. If it still doesn't work and you're sure no changes in your LAN can be responsible for this problem download another image and try that one to compare. Don't forget to archive your current image. You may need it again to fix.

Is there anything else I can try before I have to resort to flashing the memory. I don't have a CF card so I'm kinda stuck for a while until I can get one with a working OS on it.

Anything else I can do?

She's working again! I left her unplugged for a few days. I plugged her back in, reset all my internet prefs and BAM! Back to normal. guess I just had to let her rest for a while and reset herself. Leaving her unplugged for just a few hours didn't do this cause I tried that the first day. I guess sometimes it takes a few days to reset everything. :)
