I have setup Audrey with the USB drivers from the 6.1 RTP. Basically you can run now all usb devices supported by the RTP on Audrey, network cards, keyboard, mouse with pointer, etc.
However one small problem remains. While Audrey is connected to the network it doesn't know. I can ping without a problem, but when an applications wants to do something on the net the "USB not found" dialog appears on screen. When I run phlip once after boot there is no problem anymore and the USB card is apparently known as connected by Audrey.
Who has a suggestion to resolve this problem, must be someting simple but I can't find it.

I got it all to work. The new image boots on very few of the original files, is pure QNX 6.0 with some 6.1.
No ActionPalette anymore, everyhting is configured with scripts in shelf. All supported USB devices from the RTP can be implemented, and a USB Microsoft mouse is implemented as an example.
One possible problem left at this time. The CPU is pretty busy and Audrey is a little bit slower. Is there anybody around that has experimented with settings for io-graphics?

How did you get the "failed to detect USB" error messages to go away? I've got my usb keyboard all set up, and my ethernet is working fine after running io-net... but those error messages still pop up. I don't really want to flash my audrey, I imagine I'm just missing a library or a line of code or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I never had that message " Failing to detect USB device". You may have two instances of io-net running, check with psin for that. Or your USB setup is incomplete. You have to piggy back your new io-net params on the first one already running in the Audrey. There comes the biggest hurdle, you are mixing 6.0 and 6.1 executables and libs in one and the same process running and I believe that's why my CPU is doing overtime while everything does work at this time.
I will upgrade io-net and everyhting that's related to it to 6.1 and hope the CPU calmes down and Audrey will be as fast and responsive as before.
About what's supported or not, any RTP supported USB device will run now on Audrey. If 802.11b is supported in the RTP it will be on Audrey too. The same goes for all USB network cards, printers, keyboards and mice. I believe I'm doing the finishing touch on the biggest improvement for Audrey ever.

USB support is available for the RTP 6.0 too, but wasn't included in the RTP. It would be a great help if someone who has these files and libs for 6.0 or knows where they are available could let us know here.

Good question, Real Time Platform I believe.. You can download it for free from QNX.com
I just replaced the Tiny tcpip stack in Audrey with the regular tcpip stack from RTP 6.1. Performance increases substantially, so I believe I'm there. Would be convenient to have devu-ohci from the 6.0 version to compare, since the USB setup still needs some more CPU power than before. Don't know if this will effect MP3 playing, or anything at all.
The extra you have now is no more hacking necessary for USB network cards, implement the drivers for any RTP supported USB device and there you go.
A thorough study of the QNX Utilities Reference for io-net, devi-hirun and more is mandatory, if you want to install devices...
I will try to have a small update available for the version 3 image and make this totally new image with USB support available as a separate item by this Friday. Not a single Kojak app in this image anymore, but still int/ext modem and everything you had before, including working buttons. Support for this new image has to be a group effort here. Don't expect much from me for this one, it's too complicated. What you do get is a small manual in Adrey to point you in the right directions. No new web site.
