I just got an Audrey out of the box.

Should I bother updating the OS (to 1.02.08.01 final)? Or can I just go ahead and use the images (like jukebox's) by loading them from CompactFlash?

You can just flash it if you have an image on a CF card.

If not, I'd try updating first. When it works, it works great.

Flash it with 'Another QNX Image'. You can play around with the stock 'UpdateShellPlus.cf', but I have the latest jukebox3.cf image and it makes Audrey more like what you are used to. From there you can tweak it yourself, but Jukebox has spent the hours needed to transform Audrey into a windows type OS.
