MemDefrag

The name of this app is pretty self explanitory, but I wonder if we really need to run it every night? It is in kcrontab to be run at 4:46am every morning. What I had noticed with my Audrey is that if I leave Phjuke running when I go to bed, when I get up in the morning the app doesn't have focus on the screen anymore. It has somehow gone to the background. This also happens with Acid and I am sure it happens to other apps as well. I think that MemDefrag is the culprit, I have a JavaScript on my Channel00 (default Channel) that shows the time, and in the morning when I wakeup Audrey the time that is always first displayed is 4:46am then the JavaScript kicks in and time is updated to current. Yesterday I removed MemDefrag from crontab and PhJuke had Focus on my Audrey in the morning. Maybe I will run MemDefrag once a month or so, or just see if things start to become unstable without running it.

Oh.. I forgot to mention the main reason I am looking closely at MemDefrag. Besides taking focus off of the apps I have running at night(which I don't really care about), I have noticed that after 1 day Phjuke will still play music fine but if I do anything else with Audrey (web browse)the music starts skipping. When I bootup Audrey fresh and run Phjuke I can play music and browse (albeit slower) at the sametime with no skips. Something happens to cause this. So I think MemDefrag may be the culprit here also. Still unverified, but I did run Phjuke last night and this morning it still had focus, and I was able to browse the web and play music with no skips.. I will let Audrey run a couple more nights and see.
