Hi all,

I'm trying to clone the image on my unhacked, but updated to the latest OS + shell to flash my other machine which for no apparent reason decided to stop responding to the keyboard. I've used fresh batteries in it and tried the other keyboard on it.

Anyhow, I've used the instructions at: http://www.audreyhacking.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Content&file=index&menu=1314&page_id=4 with no luck.

I am logged in as root.

When I type devb-cf I just get a new prompt.

Still, I changed directory to /dev and typed cat fs0p0 fs0p1 > /dev/cf and for some reason it never returns me to prompt. It just sits with a blinking cursor.

Any thoughts that could help?

Thanks,
Matthew.

Do I need to prepare the flash card in some way that isn't mentioned in the tutorial? I've been trying to get it to work for several days.

It is a LEXAR 32 MB Compact Flash card.

Any advice would be received gratefully.

Best,
Creech.

Before you insert you flash card, type devb-cf. You should see something like this:
# CF not present

Insert you card and be sure it shows the approximate size of your card. Mine shows:
# CF inserted: 32243200 bytes (31487 kB, 30 MB)

Press enter to get a new prompt. Type
cat /dev/fs0p0 /dev/fs0p1 > /dev/cf
Now wait at least 5 minutes before you cancel the process or say that it didn't work.

I still need help....

I put the flash card in. After I seat it, I type in devb-cf. Usually this ends up in a frozen screen. Still, I cd /dev and then type cat /dev/fs0p0 /dev/fs0p1 > /dev/cf but even if I wait 30 minutes, I'm still frozen until I eject the CF card. It appears that it hasn't saved an Audrey image at this point (can't flash the other machine). When I eject the card it only seems to see that I typed devb-cf.

HELP!
Creech.
