The main apps are all visible as menu entries in shelf. Delete the shelf entry and the executable. Libs are used in general by more than 1 app, so in general you don't want to delete those. And I don't think you want to delete upgraded libs and go back to the crippled ones from original Audrey. Deleting functionality is another question. To be honest I cannot understand why you ask this question.
I go back to your example with RealPlayer. That's an easy one. All RealPlayer functionality is built in original Audrey. I replaced /kojak/kojak-realplayer with the real one. At the time it was done already by others and because of it's simplicity I would hardly call installing RealPlayer a hack. I'm not aware if any lib upgrades were involved. If so I had done that already for other apps.
Another example, installing QNX USB support is mainly done with copy and paste from the RTP to Audrey. However here you have to do a real hack and create a couple of scripts to restore and activate this new USB functionality in Audrey. Those scripts and others are clearly visible in the USB1-1 image with FileManager of course. If you have an original Audrey you can install QNX USB support in a matter of minutes now with copy and paste. It's no longer an original hack since I have done it already, although I'm under the impression infinity thinks otherwise, but he cannot do it without using my scripts, although there is always room for improvements of course, but it remains my hack either way.
At the same token I can replace the QNX USB support as quick with copy and paste by bringing back the old files and delete my new sripts and you have the original Audrey USB support back with the hard coded built in script from 3COM. BTW installing or deinstalling QNX USB support involves some changes in Audrey's config files too and are part of my original hack too of course. What I would like to see are new original hacks by others in new images, but infinity is the most active producer of new images now and he seems to be obsessed to copy my hacks and call them his own. I made three images for what I see as three different groups of Audrey users and he believes in the "definitive" and "ultimate" image, but I don't.
I explained in my "Audrey Hackers Manual" on my site how to use Neutrino Sin! Have you tried?
