(mail blue screen fixed) (modified 0 times) Infinity Profile The zip file is fixed, download it at the usual spot http://www.audreyhacking.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=getit&lid=41 it should be 12.1mb. I sent harper an email this morning so he should be updating the zip file sometime today, if not you can send him an email. Everyone who downloaded this image (even if the zip was valid) before MUST redownload because the previous file contains a few errors(i.e. the mail bluescreen error). IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO READ THE TUTORIAL WHEN THE IMAGE IS FIRST LOADED. it contains everything you need to know about this image and will answer many of the questions you have. Voyager opens minimized at boot so mail can work properly. I set it so that this instance of voyager can not be killed. Now when you open voyager using the hardware browser button it does not open a minimized instance of voyager and can be closed. They operate indepently of each other. The channel knob is used for phjuke now, push knob to open phjuke, once opened push again to play/stop, rotate left to scroll up and rotate right to scroll down the playlist. Acid updated to 2.2. startup main and warm boot time is reduced to 0 seconds to get rid of the annoying slow refresh at boot. This contains many of my original hacks like scripts to run randompic screen saver,etc. Others are apps found here and we shall give their original authors the respect they deserve, but nonetheless this image was entirely composed from scratch. Update: I will no longer support the old InfinityAudrey1.0.cf image because kukebox is slicing me left and right. This new image can easily can converted to function exactly like the old image with the removal of Palm sync, Datebook, and address book. Also, I downloaded this version the day it came out and got a good download. What's wrong with this earlier version? I don't mind manually starting Voyager to get a background for mail. (mail blue screen fixed) (modified 0 times) Infinity Profile audreyx3, there are a few other fixes, i suggest you load the new image. you can cp your shelf.cfg onto a share, load the new file and just replace it to have everything in your old. I am doing this off my head but this is what you can start with. have a backup ready you might mess up the first time. /kojak/Address_book:258k /kojak/rsmodem:281k if you don't use the internet modem. must keep if you do. /kojak/mail:309K /kojak/Datebook:270K. /kojak/hotsync_manager: /kojak/hotsync_daemon: all the related images and data files related to those apps. /kojak/img/eng and /data use rm -R to get rid of whole folders. remember to edit your /config/rm-apps and comment out those lines or you audrey will probably hang. 04-18-2002 06:55:01

I just emailed harper at audreyhacking to upload the image again which included this fix. I tested it out with my usbvisor and works fine. at the mean time you can always get the image from my ftp or you can add the hsm folder back in yourself. it should go here /kojak/img/eng and hotsync will work after it. sorry for the inconvenience. This current version of ICQ is not fully functional on the Audrey so we have to wait for an update. Seems like harper still haven't upgraded the file with the palm sync files. Again, the 11.9mb zip is the version with palm sync,the 12.1mb zip is missing the whole hsm folder and won't hotsync until you put that folder back in. 04-19-2002 05:04:24

(modified 0 times) Infinity Profile hall, you didn't read my tutorial did you? to exit mail and datebook, you must use the wm pop up menu. press paste+enter and a menu will pop up then select the Exit MADA item or just press e. I intentionally set the first instance of voyager to autoreload because voyager provides a background for mail so you can read your emails, without voyager running mail will only show a blue background on received emails. if you launch additional instances of voyager, those instances can be closed. If you really want to disable autoreloading of the first instance of voyager (remember once all instances of voyager are closed, mail will only show a blue background until you open voyager again) you can edit /config/rm-apps and take out the r infront of the StartVoyager line and leave just the b there. 04-19-2002 07:53:29

I don't use your image, but I was wondering couldn't you just start the voyager.server instead of starting the voyager app? My understanding is the voyager as well as everything else html related uses vserver or voyager.server (whatever you've named yours) to actually parse and display HTML/TXT this is why you ned it running for mail. It would be alot more efficient than having voyager running all the time. davinci i've also tried your phhotkey installer but with no success. Also, glad to hear people are trying the installer, sorry to here the installer isn't working. (mail blue screen fixed) (modified 1 times) Infinity Profile IMPORTANT UPDATE AGAIN: good news i used -x suggested by davinci when starting voyager.server and the email blue screen is fixed without running the full voyager app at boot. the size of the zip for this file is 12mb. This latest file should run perfectly without the annoyance of voyager running in taskbar all the time sucking up resource. Hotsync works great with serial palm and usbvisor(USB Palm???). If you don't want to download the whole image again you can modify the following: 1.edit /kojak/StartVoyager.sh to look like this voyager.server -x 2. edit /kojak/Browser.sh to look like this voyager -x 0 -y 0 3. edit voyager shelf item in shelf config voyager -x 0 -y 0 4. reboot that's all you have to change. i've sent the request to harper already but you can get it here ftp://harper:harper@24.91.137.120/ 04-19-2002 14:44:51

BTW, I have modified the Databook.sh, FilmStrip.sh and Browser.sh to slay MADA applications. This way there is no need to press paste+enter to exit the application. For example, to exit from Mail you can press Datebook and the first thing Datebook.sh will do is slay MADA applications. Santur, using Datebook to slay MADA doesn't help cause Datebook does not have an exit button either so you'll be stuck there instead of Mail. The knob is the most feasible if you want to use it to slay MADA, just edit Filmstrip.sh to slay mail,datebook,addressbook and actionpalette/systempanel. 04-20-2002 16:17:07
