I have been trying to get the alarm reminder function in the datebook to actually turn on and alert me when it is supposed to. I set it for 5 minutes prior to the event, wait and nothing happens. I have tried one day in advance, one hour, 30 minutes you name it and nothing turns on at the time it should or beeps or anything. Has anyone had the same problem? Thanks for any information you guys can provide.

check the system volume, it has to be up. if you have more than one user make sure you select all the users in Datebook options. i think default is Audrey only and all the other users are off.http://home.attbi.com/~kenzhao8/index.html

I have already turned up the volume, all users are selected, everything is on and still when I set the alarm to remind me as to an event nothing occurs. I'm not sure why?

both volume bars are supposed to be on. one for system sounds and one for master volume. if both are on, and all users checked. then the wav file is probably missing. i think the wav is located in /kojak/snd, either warning.wav or systemwarning.wav.
