InfinityUltimate1.0.cf Voyager,realplayer fixed (modified 0 times) Infinity Profile i've updated the file at audreyhacking because of a few minor bugs reported by users: - Memdefrag disabled in kcrontab to allow no-skip 24hr continuous phjuke mp3 - fixed voyager stalling problem on some websites. - linked realplayer plugin so you can stream directly from the net - removed voyager shelf item, launch by hardware button only If you are already running the image the way you like it and don't want to download again, you can implement these 3 fixes easily: MemDefrag fix 1. comment out the memdefrag line in /config/kcrontab Real player streaming fix 1. ln -s /usr/real/bin/realplay /nto/photon/bin/realplay 2. chmod a+x /nto/photon/bin/realplay voyager webpage stalling and java script fix 1. create a startvserver script in /kojak 1.ln -s /nto/bin/execv startvserver 2.vi startvserver.sh to look like this: vserver -x 2.chmod +x startvserver* 3. ln -s vserver voyager.server 4. chmod +x voyager.server 5.make /kojak/Browser.sh to look like this slay vserver voyager -P vserver -x 0 -y 0 (if you don't slay vserver first, everything will still work but you might run into stalling problems again. RE:InfinityUltimate1.0.cf Voyager,realplayer fixed (modified 0 times) Infinity Profile to restore the channel knob to its original functionality is not too simple with this image but doable if you have time. i deleted all the images associated with the channels. Browser is replaced by voyager. first you will need all the channel graphics back in, you need to enable all channels in /kojak/boot.sh. you need to put Browser and all browser related files back where they belonged originally. if you don't know where to start, flash with the shell+ image, duplicate the file structure on a share that way you can have access to all original files. flash with my image then replace what is needed for channels to work. 05-02-2002 15:52:05

RE:InfinityUltimate1.0.cf Voyager,realplayer fixed (modified 0 times) Infinity Profile Shelf Tip: i find it much more convenient to use audrey with shelf in open mode. with shelf opened you can just tap the Backdrop icon on the taskbar first if you want to open mail,datebook,addressbook or action palette instead of minimizing everything to find the background. you have access to all your opened apps easily. This will also prevent shelf/start drawer from mysteriously poping open. 05-02-2002 16:19:16

However, when I try to listen to cartalk radio segments, the realplayer appears to load and buffer up data, sometimes it even plays for a few seconds but it stops abruptly and closes the realplayer popup, abcnews.com audio/video don't seem to work. mlb.com audio seems to work, video at least gives a popup saying the player doesn't support the video type and suggests it might be "flash". Can you post what should/should not work with voyager? Also things that will work with voyager but not with the original browser would be nice. I am not yet a voyager convert. It looks and feels better but it doesn't seem to do much more and I can't hit the browser button twice to increase the viewable area... Also I seem to get your default background from showing up. I have unchecked the box from use image from and was thinking I could use a blank screen and remove your (nice but rather large) image to free up some more memory. RE:InfinityUltimate1.0.cf Voyager,realplayer fixed (modified 0 times) Infinity Profile audreywannab, I don't do heavy browsing with voyager(i prefer to surf on 21" than 7") so i would not be able to answer what web sites work and what don't but i've tested it out on flash sites and sites with javascripts like cartalk.com. they all work fine. Maybe some users of my image can answer that question a bit better. As for realplayer video streaming goes i've not tested it out, but should work. Since there is not much memory in audrey, video playback will cause audrey to hang shortly, i think this has been mentioned somewhere on this board. if you download the revised image from audrey hacking it will fix the adf error. (once in a while i get an adf upon opening voyager and it just sits there but closing it and reopening will fix it, this is probably related to slaying vserver before launching voyager so if you add sleep 2 between slay vserver and voyager, it will allow more time for slay to complete the process before launching voyager. I am running my audrey at 328mhz so normal speed audreys might run fine). You can not hit the browser button to toggle between full screen and normal. voyager is not like Browser but if you want to browse in full screen you can have voyager open without the status bar, title bar, menu bar, url bar, so essentially it's full screen but you will have a hard time navigating since you can't just hit the browser again to bring the menus back. As for the background you have to hit Background X under control panel to bring back the original background then manually deleting the customized background. you can not use desktop to change the background, because i purposely left out a couple of files related to desktop to save space so you will have to follow my tutorial to have the background changed manually. If a page wouldn't load on voyager most likely it wouldn't load on Browser either. you gotta remember that voyager is not just a subtitute for Browser and obviously somethings that were linked to Browser won't work with voyager like the url links in AddressBook. To put old Browser back in you have to put back all Browser files and images so It would be easier for me to just throw a special image together for you guys who want the old Browser and channels back. I downloaded you new image Infinityspecial1.0.cf and this is what I did..... 1- unzip it 2- mkcf.exe infinityspecial1.0.cf audrey.cf 32112640 3- open diskprobe 4- drive>logical drive>select cf reader(double click)>make active 5- file>open>all file>select the audrey.cf image 6- sectors>write 7- insert it in to my Audrey 8- while I was holding down datebook and power I juiced it up and a message came up saying loading image from CF and then Fatal Error:Invalid Image :( What am I doing wrong??, I'm running Windows XP Pro, USB Dazzle CF reader/writer and a Viking Components 64mb compact flash Fat32 formated. U need a 32mb CF, a SANDISK 32mb CF is ideal. I ran into the same problem before. I was pulling my haird out over it. Finally, I got my hand on a SanDisk 32mb CF. Works pefectly. For some reason it wont work with a 64MB card. It might have something to do with the sector size (32112640). The easiest fix is to get a SanDisk 32mb CF. Good luck!! 05-18-2002 23:01:59

Cron was set up according to my schedule and you have to customize it to fit you. pjf02536 many files were removed from IU1.1a but i think most of the original files were untouched in special. look in special to see if sendmessage is still there or not or just copy sendmessage back for an original image. 11-26-2002 11:22:04
