| Photon is just an event handler. It is a layer on top of the basic QNX message passing system. However, most people think of Photon as a window system with buttons, mouse cursor, etc, even though technically all that stuff is handled by higher level programs (window manager, input device driver, widget library).
I guess the closest analogy to the Linux world would be Gnome or KDE.
Speaking of off topic questions, has this message board been slow for everyone else lately? Does anyone have an email address for the owner of this board so that we can complain?
