Here is a link to my first attempt at QNX development. It's basic I know. But at least there is a clock now that will fill the screen!

My ultimate goal is to provide a better alarm clock that was built with the Audrey in mind. Once I get something worth using I'll post that as well.

Looks good !
Downloaded it, un-gz'd it and placed it in subdir kojak. Then used terminal to chmod it: (ie. in terminal)
cd kojak
chmod -x BigClock

Then used shelf config to get it into the shelf menu..
Hope this helps some to give it a try.. It is a nice full screen green digital clock with hours and minutes..

Sorry...
In the above reply there is an error, the chmod command should read:

chmod +x BigClock

You can test it quickly from terminal by typing:

BigClock

then press enter

If you see the clock then the chmod command worked..

Hi,

I just ran BigClock on my audrey, and it stands up to it's name! The time is BIG! However, I also see that the time is 1 hour off (behind).

Could it be that BigClock doesn't observe the Daylight Savings time setting? My "Observe DST" is checked in the "Date/Time" area of the Audrey Options. Plus, the time shown on that config screen is correct.

Any ideas?

Search for the thread on this board with "Time Zone" in the title...

The TZ is written to a file in the Audrey, and for some TZ's, it is in error or otherwize inappropriate. Fix that = fix the problem. Your milage may vary.
