Anyone here on a Saturday night? I bought a supposedly dead Audrey (wouldn't get past 3COM screen) and, after some foolin around, sent a CF to a VERY kind person on this board and they put Jukebox on it. I flashed the Audrey and was able to give it to a semi-computer literate friend in law enforcement (she has no cash and no real need for a full PC - and she thought the Audrey was cute). She was VERY happy with it. So, she moved and it was unplugged for a few weeks. Now it won't boot again. So, I've spent my entire Strday screwing around with it and I refuse to submit (and I' hoping to drop it off tomorrow a her plae at a brunch). So, now down to technical stuff.
I've downloaded some images (see below) and used mkcf.ex to change them to a size (I think) matches my 64MB SanDisk (again, see below). SO, of the images I created, the only ones that it recognizes as valid are B.CF, C.CF, D.CF and X.CF (again, see below). B C and D are all images expanded from the infinityultimate. The ONLY one that gets past the 3COM screen is the X.CF based on 1002074338.cf from AudreyHacking.com. It gives me an IPL warning when I mckf it... is that a good thing or bad thing? The image doesn't seem to be fully-functional either and has VERY few extras (remember, this is going to a chick in law enforcement that wants it to be fun and simple). Can anyone help? Below is a cut and paste from my XP machine where I am mkcf'ing the images. [I then load the images on a 98 machine on my network using Gemulator. I don't have and Linux boxes on my network.]
