im brand new to audrey and find her very facinating. i have yet to hook it up though because im still waiting for my usb-ethernet adapter. i would like the best of both worlds. i hear that when audrey is hooked up to a phone line, you can get a caller id display on the screen. but i would still prefer faster internet access. is it possible to hook both up and expect them to both work together?
also, does anyone know if you can use the bult in phonebook/address book to place calls.
Yes Audrey can be connected to both a phone line for CallerID, and an ethernet adapter for your LAN and internet access. It works very well.
It can't dial numbers from the address book though.
I was looking through the home page for ACID and the developer mentions starting to write code to dial phone numbers. He abandonded the idea, but the code is still in the source. If you feel like hacking...
