Hey guys, I figure I should let everyone know, my Audrey _FINALLY_ got the last update...
A little history, I bought 2 Audrey's back when Tigerdirect first had them... 7-2001 or was it 8-2001, anyhow I did the server spoof, got all but the last update, my revision was fine but my pterm shell thing didn't work... it always failed for 1 reason of another on the last update. I grew disenchanted... read the Linux hacker group every now and then... but since I could never do the last update, I never was able to do anything. I left my other Audrey, still new in box, tigerdirect sticker and all.. alone, I didn't want to mess that one up, I was considering selling it..
A few weeks back I decided to set up some sort of internet access in my living room, I used my JNT surfstation (websurfer... but in some sort of German variety) I took out win98 and used the disk on chip browser... but it was constantly reverting back to acor (a German isp?) and a German phone number.. finally sick of it I pulled out my Audrey from the closet. sure enough it still had an old dialup account and password long forgotten, ( I *borrowed* it from a friend) it connected after having to reset time\date and went online. The moment had passed and I didn't do anything much with it... Then just yesterday as I was heading to bed it made the "Audrey" sound I went over and taped the touch screen, I had a new "info" button, I quickly went to the shell favorite I made boom I had a command prompt... WHoo hoo!!!
So my question is this... What should I add first? remap the keyboard? go to ebay and buy a CF with patches already installed? I will say that I am not familiar with linux/unix/QNX.. But I am fluent in DOS, so I am sure I can grasp the whole Command Line Interface thing. just need a DOS to QNX translator... dir=ls ect...
Any help or suggestions as far as what updates should be done would be appreciated.
