Okay, I got one of the Audreys from Overstock, it was actually brand new in box. So I am starting to play and have some fun. I only have dial up and no usb adapter. Thanks to the posts on this board I have so far sucessfully downloaded 2 flash images, update with shell and Infinity ultimate, and played with both, so far so good. I liked the Infinity image but it just ad to much stuff that I wouldn't use right now.
My question is can I creat my own image by using the shell update and downloading over dialup ?
I tried downloading some files I wanted such as ACID etc. but with the stock browser they would not download, I got a incompatable file error.
Or can I make my own image on a PC running Linux or QNX ?
Or can I just start erasing stuff from the image and back up as I go to create a custom image (definetly the more adventurous of the ideas).
I know that eventually I should get an ethernet adapter but that will have to be later as I have dumped to much $$'s right now on this and other computer stuff.
