No sooner did I establish root shell for my new Audrey, I blew it up - won't boot. Stops and freezes at the initial 3com screen.
I was trying to back up my newly updated system to cf. I issued this command:
cat fs0p0 fs0p1 fs0p2 /dev/cf
of course, it should have been redirected: cat fs0p0 fs0p1 fs0p2 > /dev/cf
Question: Can somebody assure me that I can reflash it, no harm done? I am concerned because I'm trying every way I can find to flash my 32MB Sandisk cf with infinityultimate1.1a with no luck. Booting from cf gives me FATAL: Invalid image XLv01.12
I suspect this is due to user error on my part, but I've been at this a while and having a dead Audrey on my hands has me a little worried.
BTW, why would overwriting the cf device driver render the Audrey unbootable? Am I correct in believing this is what I did? I was a Unix newbie 10 years ago when I put it down until last nite.
Thanks
