I wiped my QNX box a while back and hadn't gotten around to putting it back together, but thanks to Connectix's VirtualPC, I've finally added a few new things to PhJuke. Get the new version at www.midwinter.com/audrey/phjuke.
* If you're using Media Jukebox on your PC, you probably already use its "Analyze Replay Gain" tool to equalize the volume levels on your tracks. PhJuke can now read the analysis results and adjust the volume so your music all comes out at around the same level even if the levels of the original recordings were different. There isn't any support for other MP3 tools' Replay Gain data yet (the data formats are different.) You will need to grab an updated copy of Madplay to use this.
* As promised in another thread, you can now specify a list of filenames for album cover bitmaps. This should please Windows XP people, since they can call their bitmaps folder.jpg and XP will show them as thumbnails.
* Playlist loading is a bit faster.
* At the request of a couple of users, PhJuke will now play ".mp2" files using Madplay.
