I have a Windows share mounted with my mp3 files. When I add an album to a playlist that I have encoded using LAME, with 192kb/s VBR encoding, phplay just skips over these files without playing them. Older files that were encoded at 128kb/s using AudioCatalyst play fine. I've looked at the home page for madplay and it suggests that VBR files should be supported. Does anyone know what the problem is here? I've been going through all my CDs and reripping and encoding them with LAME to replace the old AudioCatalyst copies, but as I do so I have less and less of my mp3's playable with my Audrey.

RE:phplay/madplay won't play many of my mp3s (modified 0 times)
The problem is with madplay, not with phjuke. If I try to play one of the problem files with madplay from a terminal window, I get a "permission denied" error. However, it isn't file permissions on the mp3, as they are -rwxrwxrwx. Must be something else.
