Hi Guys,

OK, I got this odrey thing dead at some house I visited, the owner said, "there is nothing to do with it.."
so it will boot up to the (I believe) original Audrey.
I've done some reading on some of the websites discussing Audrey, all of them recommend "updating" the software,
here's the catch, I don't know how to hook the thing to the network, it has the original usb connection however
I did not get any "adapter" or anything, I have a DSL here at home with a small (3 computers) home network (all connected to each other, no router or lynx or whathaveyou),
so, how do I proceed?
I don't want to spend any money on this, unless it's a cable I'm missing in which case I'll spare a few bucks.
also, what is this flash card everyone's talking about? I don't believe the Audrey I have has a flash card,
there is an empty slot (on the side) where it seems I can place an pcmcia card or somthing but I'm not sure.

long live Audrey.
-tzurs.

Hi, i'm new too and i can tell you, it's fun to mess with this thing (Audrey) but you're going to have to spend a little money. The thing has a built-in modem you could connect if you had dial-up but since you don't, spend the money to get the recommended USB ethernet adaptor--it's listed at audreyhacking.com--then you can hook it up to your DSL (get it cheap from ebay). Once you get the software updated, a whole new world will open up for you, this thing can do a lot more than advertised...it's amazing.

The slot on the side IS for a CF (compact flash) card, get one of those too (scandisk 32mb preferably).

So, are you going to take the plunge...or just be cheap.

By the way, i'll take that Audrey off your hand for $10.00.....
