well I need sleep since I got my audrey she is drving me crazy! lol well maybe just a little more that is. Okay I got all the updates from the spoofed server and I have my shell and mp3 player installed I even have the shutdown button. And they all work. But I can't get the new images to load. I just tested my 256 sandisk with a backup of my updated Audrey and it is tested and works like a champ. But when I use my 32mb sandisk card I can't find the right checksum size. Audrey reports the size is 32046592 bytes okay then if I use ntrw to read the size I get 32030720 if I use either variables to create my images I still get the checksum error. anyone know what it might be. I am getting tired and I have went through tons of post here but I still can't get past this. no on to my fs-cifs: cannot execute - Is a directory error. Every time I try to map a drive I get a fs-cifs: cannot execute - Is a directory error. I can't seem to get past this I downloaded the fs-cifs files but still get the same B.S. any help would help alot.

I have never used ntrw, so, I can't help there. But, once you get past the fs-cifs error, you won't need to create it that way. You can use Audrey.

On to the fs-cifs error. Can you show us the line you use?

okay well the commands I have tried are fs-cifs -a //computername:192.168.1.3:/Audrey /audrey guest guest. I have also tried fs-cifs -V //computername:192.168.1.3:/Audrey /audrey guest guest. I can't use fs-nfs2 since I haven't pulled that package down yet. so that is what I type when I get my fs:cifs: cannot execute - Is a directory error. Hope someone can help.

Sounds like fs-cifs is a directory, not an executable - perhaps flags on the file are not set right

Cade,

You said the flags may not be set right how do I change them? It's a pain to figure out some of the commands. I have been trying an have been somewhat succesful in learning them or figuring them out. by the way could I just FTP the image to my CF card? If so what would be the command? O one last thing every time I lok around the web you guys say that if I download the image I need to unzip it? I have tried but winzip says it's not a correct file yada yada. do you mean I need to rename the image to CF or is this some other code word?

Thanks,
Sage

Assuming your fs-cifs file is in /nto/bin:

chmod +x /nto/bin/fs-cifs

will make it executable

If your fs-cifs file is ACTUALLY a directory, try deleting the directory and getting the file again and chmod'ing it again.

Horray I got past that error! Thanks for the help okay now on to my next. I am using this command to try and connect to the share.

fs-cifs -a //mycomputername:192.168.1.3:/Audrey /audrey username password
I created a username 1
and a password 1
to make it easy but now I get a io_mount: Bad file descriptor
fs-cifs: missing argument, or all mount attempts failed.

Any ideas?
