Thought I'd take an informal poll to see what everyone uses their Audrey for, and also HOW you use it if you hacked out something special. Make your exploits known while giving other people ideas at the same time for their projects.
Mine was just finished (is it ever really though?) yesterday evening. I finally flashed the Infinity image on it and network it as a remote mp3 player from my Win2k share. Eventually I'd like to pipe it into my stereo using the audio out jack too. Nothing all that exciting, but it was just put online last night.
Anyone else? What do you use yours for?

Current:
Home automation control - Running MisterHouse on a linux box and use Audrey to control things thru MH's web interface.
Playing MP3s.
Participating in distributed.net's RC5-72 project.
Whole house caller-id running CIDSentry on a PC as server and ACID on all Audreys as clients.
Planned:
Audrey in kitchen with a CueCat USB barcode reader along with a webpage I am going to write using data from UPCDatabase.com (as a start) to maintain a shopping list.
Nothing has been worked on in a while due to real life :(
I have mine in the kitchen. It's nice to see how the weather is going to be for the next day or so. I can quickly look up a phone number or check my calendar while talking on the phone. Yes, I do have a cordless phone but Audrey doesn't get lost and is at the right height to work while standing up. I can see what is on TV and plan the evening's entertainment while fixing supper. Check ingredients for a new dish. Pick up a little humor from the Internet. I do all the things Audrey was designed to do along with Acid for caller ID, PHJuke to play MP3s, and PicSaver for a slide show with my choice of pictures.
Some things I'd like to do with Audrey but I haven't figured out how to do yet or haven't had the time to do yet --
Catalog of my videos -- need a web enabled database
Home utomation -- need to find time to get it set up
Home theatre -- this kind of goes with the other 2. It would be nice to use Audrey as a remote to setup the home entertainment system for an evening of fun.

I have been using mine as a touchscreen remote for my home entertainment center for the last year now. It is to bulky and obviously has cords attached so it justs sits next to my couch on and end table, but works really well. I have been tweaking the software for awhile now, and it works perfectly 95% of the time. Can't beat a color touchscreen remote for $100.
