I'm using a new image on my Audrey : infinityultimate1.1s : and am looking for some advanced network troubleshooting for my office-bound Audrey.

Basically, I can't access the internet. Voyager returns "Error: Connect Failure" and "Could not connect to the requested host." and I can't ping any machines outside of my desktop PC via it's IP accress. The DHCP in my office assigns Audrey an IP and DNS servers and everything, but Audrey consistently returns the message "No route to host."

Please, I throw my self at the mercy of the I-Appliance gods! How do I configure a specific route to the internet on Audrey? My IT staff say I need to set the "Connection Specific DNS Suffix" but I can't find anything like this in the QNX documentation...

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a gateway issue. Check to make sure the DHCP server is assigning a default gateway address (usually an address ending in .1, as in 192.168.25.1). Try pinging that address.

What does this have to do with a Linux Guru?

whyrnutz - I think you're on to something! What I remember from last I checked, it Didn't have a gateway IP assigned. I've tried switching to a manual configuration of an IP/DNS/Gateway, but that didn't result in any different behavior.

I'll get back w/ my network Admins to find out about how they send the gateway IP to our DHCP client machines, and I'll post here if I can ping that ip.

galway - When I said "linux guru" I was trying to get the attention of a knowledgeable person who was proficient w/ networking protocols and audrey's version of linux - that's all. Sorry if I mis-used the term somehow.
