I bet I could add a hard drive to an audrey!! If i could get ahold of one. its basicly got the exact same hardware as a device which I hacked and added a hard drive to.
check my web page below. if any one knows some one with a dead audrey but intact board and no burnt traces I think i can do the job. Can we say this would be the LINDOW to a whole new world for the audrey!

That is very interesting. But, the big difference is the Emachine you have added a harddrive to has a bios. Audrey does not.

I'm considering letting go of my Audrey. Everything seems fine onscreen, however it has not signed on to either of the ISPs I've attempted with it.

hehe yes i'm aware of the bios issue, BUT I have a working bios that WOULD work on an audrey. Remember the audrey and the eznet are the exact same hardware. and there looks to be a bios socket on the audrey mother board. I'm going to do a little more research on the audrey. Chances are I'll shock the world with a whole new hack to the audrey :).

hay dilligaf I'v done a little bit of research on the audrey and the chip with the code E28F128 on it, by the big connector on the CPU side. THAT is your bios chip. Well to be honist its a DOC chip intel doc chip (DISK ON CHIP). its goth both the bios in the last 2mbits of space a AND in the first 16mbs of space it houses the orignal audrey OS or linux if you so choose to load it onto it. now there is an empty 32pin squar socket next to that chip. that is for a regula (i'm a mainer) bios chip. any question's?

I know the webpal has no bios, so you could flash it just like the webpal ,and put your kernel there, then linux can take care of the rest. I can't really help on doing this but it sounds like it would work

I created this webpage two years and one day ago, but incase you do attempt the hardware mod, then perhaps this information will help:
