Thanks, dill.
It was successful, but not right away. I guess I will explain what happened in case somebody else has the same problem.
I found a copy of fc-cifs, downloaded it to windows, FTPed it to my server, and then FTPed it to the audrey into the nto/bin folder (though I think it can go in any bin folder: once i put it in nto/bin, it appeared every bin folder). Got a "Permissions denied" type error. I had forgotten to type "chmod +x fs-cifs", which allows you to execute it after downlad. Then I typed "fs-cifs -a //Computer:I.P.ad.dy:/Share /Share guest guest" again, but now it says "not enough memory".
After much gnashing of teeth, I realized that by downloading fs-cifs directly through XP, XP had converted it to ASCII. What I had to do was find it ZIPed somewhere. I found it on Robert's mp3 page:
http://www.canoma.com/audrey/mp3.html
After that, I could unzip it, FTP it, chmod +x it, and run it with no problem.
And knowing is half the battle.
