Audrey no longer sees Compact Flash card
Saw CF yesterday, not today.

Just this weekend I reloaded a backup to my Audrey via the CF port, then did some tweaking and backed it up via the port. So I decided I was going to install an infinity image using the pc. I stick the card in the Audrey with pterm and nothing happens. So I stick another in (same make/model) nothing. And then I try another nothing. I haven't done anything to Audrey since the last backup, so I'm really stumped here. I've pulled the power numerous times, yet the results (are lack thereof) are the same every time. Any ideas?

I have one Audrey (out of seven) which does this, couldn't figure it out, but I think some of the pins are bent, or the slot is distorted because it doesn't appear to seat properly. But it's done this since I got it. Luckily, it did update over the Internet, but it's not re-flashable. I haven't used it extensively. My plan was to give it to my grandmother as a web/email machine - two years on, and I still haven't done the work I was expecting to do...

thanks Cade- I just checked the pins and the all perfect fortunately, but then that means there's another problem. And if it's hardware it could be solder joints, as I've read that being a potential weak spot. - rob

just an update- I burned a cf image on the pc using an external reader/writer and CFutil. Shoved that in the Audrey, booted it up and it worked flawlessly. So I don't understand why it would see it in pterm- but for future reference, try a cf image install at boot. - rob

I'm a little confused about what's going on but you can try at the term devb-cf to activate the cf card. Just ignore me if I'm not following you It's late here and I've been up writing how-tos to long.
