It sounds like the X10 stuff does not work directly with the Audrey....however is there any rocket scientists out there that know enough about the Audrey hardware ports (USB, audio, serial) that a method could be developed to control an external relay? I am interested in controlling something via a web interface.
The one lame idea I came up with was to put a light detector into the hole where the stylus goes and turn on the led and have the detector then turn on the relay. The other idea was to turn on sound and detect a level of sound or a frequency which would then turn on the relay. Was hoping for something more elegant or ideas on how to accomplish either the sound or led detector idea. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm looking into something similar. An indirect way to do it would be to use a Dallas-Maxim TINI device through a web page on the Audrey http://www.ibutton.com As soon as I am able to update my Audrey I'll try to work something out. I had hoped to send data through the serial port but this may not be possible. Perhaps the USB update that is available will make things easier. Back to the Audrey update. For some reason the Audrey is trying to resolve www.vs.aparato.net when I put it to sleep for an update. Dunno..

I run Homeseer on a PC for controlling all my X10 stuff. Homeseer can generate a web page, which I can access on all my Audreys. This requires a network, though.
I haven't seen any direct X10 control using ONLY an Audrey.

I bought some cadmium sulfide photocells from radio shack and made a little circuit that turns a relay on and off when the green led comes on and off....anyone interested, I can send it to them....I was thinking there was a way to upload stuff to this site but I dont see it.
Anyways the next step is for me to figure out how to turn the LED off and on from a javascript... Anyone know how?
