I have had my Audrey over a year now flashed(AI) but lately I'm having problems with email. Everytime I launch the email it pops up and immediatly closes back out. Any thoughts? I can't do anything since it does not give me time to launch anything.

Save your settings, and reflash your Audrey. It's faster than troubleshooting the problem IMHO. Once you get the settings restored, create a new flash card so next time, it's just a few keypresses away from "fixed" next time.

You've either got too much mail or you've got a message that's too big for Audrey. You'll need to manually delete the messages.
You mention you have it flashed with AI, what is AI? Does it have a File Explorer program?

If so, navigate to /data/email/in and delete some messages or find a very large one to delete. Once you've done that, reboot Audrey and you should be able to access your email. If you still can't, you'll need to delete more messages.

If your image doesn't have a File Explorer, let us know and we can provide instructions for deleting messages through the terminal.

My Mom is in the same position. She doesn't have access to a PC where she could log in to her E-mail and delete from there. I also don't know if I could find the CF flash card if I had to. She can get to Shell from the Audrey Options if there is some way to delete from there. If so, I'd really appreciate step-by-step instructions as I've never worked within Shell.

Q1- Flashing is taking a CF card that has an Audrey image on it, installing it in Audrey's CF card slot, and re-flashing Audrey's memory to the new image. The easiest way to do this is to get a pre-imaged CF card (available from our site or try and borrow one from someone) and follow the instructions included with the CF card or on these forums.

Q2- Using the File Explorer program in most images you can navigate to /data/email/in and delete the messages manually. If you don't have File Explorer you have a couple of options. The one we'd recommend is to flash you Audrey to an image that has File Explorer so you have it in the future if the problem ever comes up again. Again, we have pre-imaged CF cards available from our site, there are also instructions on this forum for putting an image on a CF card yourself, but the procedure is far from easy and can become very frustrating for most people which is why we recommend the pre-imaged CF card. The other option is to borrow a pre-imaged CF card from another Audrey user.

As for going through shell to delete the messages, it's possible and quite simple if you know what you're doing, but because so much damage can be done by deleting or modifying files that shouldn't be, we'll only post that the files you need to delete are in the /data/email/in directory and if you have the knowledge to delete them in Linux, you'll know how. Aside from that, get a pre-imaged CF card to take care of the problem permanently.
