Channels question
How can I get the channel knob to work again

I recently bought an Audrey with 'Another qnx image' by jukebox installed. The channel knob doesn't work. It seems like it could be very useful. I recreated the /data/XML/Channels directory and it's child directories, but to no avail. I assume there is another program/process that must need to be running (to interpret the input) that was uninstalled when the new image was installed. Does anyone know if this is correct? And if so, how I can reinstall this program?
Thanks

I believe the program was called Filmstrip, but that in itself might not be enough, I dunno.

Infinity did an image, I think it was called "Special 1.1s". He added in all the goodies andleft the channels in their "stock" state I believe.

I think both jukebox and Inifinity preferred to get rid of channel support (although one of them has the knob tied into PhJuke). At first I thought I wanted channel functionality back too... now I'm not so sure. You can get a lot of simple touch screen functionality out of simply using the shelf application. And from what I've seen, the classic channel functionality is pretty dog slow and clunky... your mileage may vary.

Channels are disabled on my Audrey, but I do have Filmstrip. When my Audrey first arrived, it started Paint every time it booted. Turning the channel knob also started Paint. Very annoying. Setting up all the Channels folders and graphics etc as described in the threads here did not change this behavior or get the channel graphics to appear.

Filmstrip.sh contained the following:

#phjuke -S m &
attentionbull

attenbull.sh contained:
SetLEDState 2
Paint -x 220 -y 80
SetLEDState 0

So apparently, turning the knob runs Filmstrip.sh, which in the above case was invoking attentionbull.sh, which made the LED blink and started Paint.

In Filmstrip.sh I removed the attentionbull line and uncommented the phjuke line, and now the knob starts phjuke. Finally some tangible results! The question is, what has to be in Filmstrip.sh to display the channel selector filmstrip?

On my Audrey, Filmstrip is an executable in /kojak. The shell script sounds like a good way to get other functionality. There is also a /kojak/Filmstrip.images dir with some gifs. Hope this helps.
