Dead audrey screen...ANy ideas?

I have 3 audreys which have been running 24/7 since Fall of 2001. I shut off the screens remotely at night using my HA software, so the screens are on about 14hrs a day.

Last night I noticed one screen is off. If I hit the power button, I hear the power button sound, but no screen. WHen I reboot, the screen is still off, but the power button still makes noise. I altered the image years ago to get rid of the intro video, so I don't have the 'giggle'. The machine has not had any updates made for over a year. No config editing of any kind.

The backlight is definitely not coming on. Should I be able to see the LCD screen at all without the backlight? Or does the fact that I can't see a thing at all mean LCD is dead too?

Any info appreciated..
Thanks

I believe there is a small switching power supply that makes a few hundred volts to power the screen.(not in the wall wart) The componets are on the main board. My guess is that could be the problem if the screen itself has not developed a problem.
