Hi,

I recently bought a usb ethernet adapter that I thought I could properly flash a new vid and pid to the EEPROM to work with Audrey.

I followed the instructions here: http://www.wienand.org/files/audrey/, using qtexercz.exe to flash this file: http://www.wienand.org/files/audrey/linksys.bin instead of using macparse.exe (macparse didn't work at all). The vid and pid did change, but to 0565 & 001f. Not the values Audrey needs to recognize the adapter...

Does anyone have a bin for a 3C460 they can share with me? I'm confident I can flash it to my adapter with qtexercz and get it working.


Here's the $8 CAIS adapter, if flashing works, you might want to pick one up:
USB Ethernet Adapter 10bt
10 MB USB Ethernet Adapter. New Item with Driver Disk, Instructions and Short USB Cable. These are just like the 3COM 3C460 Adapter but Branded for a new dead internet company.

I figured this out after badly flashing the device nearly past the point of no return. I wound up using macparse.exe. Needed to change the driver in that program from the default to qttools and things flashed just fine. Sooo.... If you're looking for an $8 adapter that will work, try the CAIS from my previous post. Works great. Best of luck. Mark
