Here is the location of the GOOD 6.0 iso. Everyone keeps asking, so bookmark it!

http://www.planetmirror.com/pub/qnx/qnxrtp/old/qnxrtp.iso

I have tried this one and the other one, and this one definitely works, while the other does not.

Ok, maybe I am really dense, but this seems to produce the same nasty CD that I get with every other ISO image.

I have used both Nero and Adaptec software to burn this image to CD with the same results. Every directory and filename are in uppercase and the files in REPOSITORY2 are misnamed or truncated. This does NOT happen when I burn the 6.1.0 image.

If you have used this image to produce a working CD, please let me know how you did it.

You know what, never mind. Windows is being stupid about reading the CD, as it looks fine under QNX 6.1.0.

Yeah, it includes gcc and some other goodies.

When you mount this cd under Windows, the filenames do still look messed up. The importatnt thing is that it will work under QNX, so the package manager works.

I loaded the 6.0 disc, and chose to have it install underneath my Win 98 system (as a file). It lets me choose at boot time whether to do windows or QNX.

However, when I boot QNX it can't find my ethernet card. It says I don't have any network card (I use a GFC2204 PCI Ethernet adapter).

Any ideas?

QNX has limited support for network cards. Probably yours isn't supported.

I highly recommend a DEC Tulip based card, like the Netgear FA310TX. They are $20 - $30, support 100BaseT, and are well supported under Linux, Windows, OpenBSD, FreeBSD and QNX (probably others too, those are just the ones I run). I have 4 or 5 of thses cards.

If you want to go on the cheap, you could probably get a NE2000 compatible generic card for like $10, which should work under Most OSes, including QNX.
