So I have both a few weeks ago 2 blue clippers , what have I done ?
1 * remove the 1 SANDISK ( the litle one 4 solder roots ) do it whit an small hotair blower ( best whith minigas hotairblower it must be verry precize.
2 * remove biosjumper ( clear & normal switch )and make a 3 pin switch on it , to get in the bios ,you switch to clear wen memory is counting, when counting is done (702 fault is very normal ) than switch to normal and pres direcly afther the compaq key ,more than 1 time's ,and you are in ! change the IDE boot = enable Primair IDE ,enable secundaire IDE ,enable IDE transfer ATA 33/66 ,disable IDE transelation and that's all !Push the enter butten on the keyboard and then pres the Compaq key( F10 ) .You can conect an usely normal USB keyboard for easely working to get in and out the bios boot software.
3 * take and old PCIA laptop telephone modem card, strip it and solder the small PCIA socket out. Be very precize !this is a dificult job.
4 * download the CFtoIDE.pdf here in the forum ( it's an green line's schematic for to make an CF to IDE cable )
5 * I have let out the small IDE conector and buyed a small IDE small to IDE big convertor , so you can alway's choice witch one you want to use .
6 * download the IDE pinout , download a CF pinout .
7 * soldering this cable is 4 hour's work !!!! its not a job for beginners .
8 * use wirerapping cable to solder it to the PCIA conector, and use a very thin solderpen !
9 * GET A LOOP WHEN YOU WORK ON THIS PROJECT , and tink more than twice and control the connections 2 or 3 time's if it is right what you are doing.
I have solder 1 root of pins first and pull than a small paper between the 2 roots from the PCIA conector.
10 * When its finised you must make the PCIA connector on the right size because an PCIA is to big , so cut it to an 50 pins .
11 * solder it to an IDE Male connector and than you can put any IDE cable in it , and yes you got 2 IDE's to connect a harddisk and an CD/ROM player or CD/ WRITER ( I got an Writer and works fine )
12 * when all is working fine let drop some warm glue on the solderpins of the CF connector you have created, so is it a stronge one.
13 * connect an harddisk whith an preinstalled Win98SE on it and copy the Win98SE cdrom on the harddisk to, (take power from the underbottom of the mainboard +5 Vdc and - Vcc , black ground and red +5 Volt cable witch is on the power connector on the mainboard from the IA1 ).
14 * install VIA 4in1 driver .
15 * install the VGA driver Trident Cyberblade i7 ( compaq prasario is fine) .
16 * install VIA AC97 driver.
17 * all the drivers can be found on the www.driverguide.com .

I have all functional ,olso USB memory stick's working fine on it I got an Thosiba 256 MB .
Next step I go to try is to make more memory on the mainboard , I have read olso here in the forum that you can replace the memory chips on the mainboard to another type , normaly is it 32MB , If somewone already has done this please I want some info about !!

Tanks and succes whith rape an IA1 :p Jeroen ( Roant )
