Why am I doing this?
I have a 90 year old Mother in assisted care living and I'm trying to get her on e-mail. Already tried a MacBook PRO which proved too complicated. There is a WiFi cloud in the assisted care facility.
I'm in the process of assembling stuff. I have a new untouched Compaq IA-1. A new DWL-122 USB WiFi dongle. A Talent 16GB USB flash drive.
QUESTIONS
1) What is the largest CF Memory card that the IA-1 will support?
2) What is the best Linux Distribution given an IA-1 WiFi connected unit running only WEB applications. Probably only gmail and a browser. Skype would also be nice but the hardware requirements appear to be too much.
3) Is there a better WiFi USB dongle. I'd prefer one that has a cable out to a decent hy-gain antenna, it will of course have to be supported in the Linux distribution.

...and experience? well, that comes from poor judgement!
