I made the first post, I made the first post! But seriously, i think we should make a list to all the dreamcast related linux we have found on the net thus far. on another note i finally cracked open my dc to look at that expansion port that the modem plugs in to. it turns out that there are 50 pins on the mobo for it. can anyone says SCSI? i will post the pics i took with my digital camera soon.

I would doubt the modem plugs into SCSI.. Its probably just be a PC / CF Card connector or altogether something proprietary.

I've looked in the dreamcast system and can find nothing resembling any SCSI controller chips.

Well you can usually determine if its a SCSI by the chips that drive the port. Chances are there are no SCSI support chips in there (too expensive for a console to license).
