Resuming after Suspend Locks Up ePods

New MessageResuming after Suspend Locks Up ePods (modified 0 times) thrillho
Running v1.02 of the hack, LinkSys EC2T, 16MB CF, my ePods freezes when turned on after suspend. The weird thing is that it will initially appear to be working fine, but clicking on the taskbar or minimizing windows to expose the desktop causes it to freeze. For example, if Pocket Word is open when I suspend the ePods, it will resume correctly to Word. As soon as I close it, or activate the taskbar, Word and everything else locks up. A soft reset fixes it but it gets annoying doing this every time I turn on the ePods. My wife has started to make snide comments about it being "just like our PC".

This has happened twice, using two different CF cards and I've been forced to do a hard reset and reinstallation of the hack to resolve it. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem with the 2.04 hack. After the ePods went into suspend mode, there was a high probability that after one or two clicks the ePods would hang.

After doing the 32MB memory hack and a full reinstall of the software, the ePods works better. I think that something in the Hack applications or registry entries is causing the problem. Although, I haven't really looked into it much after the problem went away.

I had this problem with atadisk.dll that comes with hack. Just delete it from ePods and reset. The native dll from ROM will take it's place.

Still locking up. What is the date and size of your atadisk.dll? The one that's copied back into my \Windows directory after a reset is dated 5/2/00 and 16.5KB.

The weird thing is that I can't see the dll in the \Windows directory after deleting the (quite visible) one I installed with the v1.02 hack.

I know it's there because attempting to copy the v1.02 file back into \Windows generates the "Confirm File Replace" message box.

One other thing. I noticed that Filestor can't even display the \Windows directory now. It takes forever for it to show anything and then only shows 5 or 6 files in the directory. Is this symptomatic of the general locking-up problem?
