Has anyone looked into an internal antenna for a wireless networked ePods?
I heard some people mention that certain Apple computers have an internal antenna. This technology would be nice to have on the ePods. Does any one know the details of the configuration? Do the internal antennas have better or worse range than the ones on the PCcards? How big would an internal antenna need to be? Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

From what I have seen (an iBook mac laptop) the 'internal' wireless networking is just a airport PCMCIA card that is mounted in a slot underneath the keyboard. It isn't integrated into the system itself at all. If anyone cares, the airport is like this too, just a shell for a airport PCMCIA card.

Actually, all the iBooks and iMacs and newer tower Apple's have built in antennae. They are strung through the LCD screen part of the laptops. When installing an Airport card into one of these thangs, you have to connect the antenna to the end of the card.
