How to extract Compaq driver files. It is driving me crazy!
How to extract Compaq driver files. It is driving me crazy! (modified 0 times)

Hi,
I am trying to setup my Epod with my Linksys wireless LAN. I have taken the advice of this group to use the compaq drivers. I downloaded sp15587.exe but all it does is create a PDF file. How the heck do you get the actual driver files? I have searched newsgroup, Compaq site and can't find the answer. I use Win2k and thought that was the problem but it also does not work from any of my ME machines. I unfortunetely don't have any 98 machines to try the process with.
Thanks for any help,

I can find the file. But once I download it will not extract into anything more than a PDF file. So I follow the link, http://www5.compaq.com/support/files/networking/wlan/WL100CE.html and then alick on SP15587.exe and save to a directory on a Win2k machine. I then click on the exe to extract which then extracts a single, PDF file. I can't figure out how to get the actual drivers.
