ePods hardware specifics (modified 0 times) lardieb Does anyone out there have any information on the specific hardware in an ePods. I have not opened mine yet and was interested to know if anyone know what USB host is inside. Is it embbedded in the micro? I am also looking for any of the following that you could provide. Other devices in the ePods, UART, IR controller, LCD controller, touch screen, etc... Addresses of said devices. Interrupts used by the devices. I have not looked into it to much and I know the processor has a MIPS core but does anyone know what embedded micro is in it. I read something about it being a Toshiba part? Anyone have a assembler for the processor or know where I could get one from? Thanks 03-18-2001 21:35:48

I beleive that the ePods was based on a reference design by Toshiba. "In addition to the hardware, Toshiba supplies the Juno Toshiba Adaptation Kit (TAK), which includes the Windows CE device drivers for the TC35143F and the TC6358TB, as well as the OEM Adaptation Layer (OAL), the platform-dependent interface to the Windows CE kernel."
