ePods newbie questions

New MessageePods newbie questions (modified 0 times) Neutronflux
I just purchased an ePods on eBay -- and I'm planning on hacking is [that's why I'm on this forum I guess =]
Anyways, I'm going to have to upgrade the compact flash memory [obviously] -- how much is necessary? -- assuming no massive mp3 requirements.

is 32 ok, 64 more preferable?

Also - in terms of typing on the lcd thouchscreen, is it possible to touch type on it?

Thanks,
Neutron

Well, on the memory, 32 MB would be more than adequate if you are going to hack the video to get the 16 bit color. Applications are REALLY small for CE. If you do hack the video, ONLY install programs on the flash, and make the majority of the RAM on-board for program memory.

On the second question, the keyboard will take up half the screen, and you are welcome to type on it.

Regards,

Peter

Hi Pete, thanks for the tips -- when you mention installing on the flash... is it also possible to install on the 16 meg onboard memory?
