Hotmail login probs from IE3 and IE4 on epods

New MessageHotmail login probs from IE3 and IE4 on epods (modified 0 times) whack-a-mole
I was able to login to hotmail once. Since then, I type in my login name/pw, it forwards me through a few blank URL's as normal, then I get a 404 instead of my mail page. I've tried clearing the cache, soft resetting, etc. to no avail. I know I'm typing in the right login info, and the rest of the web seems to work just fine. Is this passport flucking with me? I went to passport.com and logged out; still no luck. How do you have your epods configured to get hotmail?

*bump* Just thought I'd give my question one more try, because hotmail is my primary file transferring unit until my network card shows up, and it will be my major web browsing app for awhile.

I think the silence is because no-one has had this problem. IE3 works fine to access Hotmail, without any special settings. I don't know what the problem you're experiencing is.

Thanks for your reply. It's nice to know that someone actually cares. I've tried both IE3 and IE4 and I get the same 404. My account works from a regular computer so I'm a bit befuddled. I've tried logging out of Passport (which should clear the cookie) and deleting my temporary internet files directory. Do you have any suggestions? This is getting very irritating.

Can you log into other free mail accounts (Yahoo, Eudora...)?

I don't personally use Hotmail, so I can't give you a lot of information. Since the "hack your epods" site mentions using Hotmail to transfer files, IE3 *must* work fine. I've used Yahoo, no problems.

Yes, everything (except my bank, which requires 128-bit security) works fine, including other mail sites. I'm having my Epods glitched this week, so maybe a reinstallation of everything will cure what ails me.
