Well, I've got my ePods hacked to the 1.02 shell and I'm quite pleased with it so far. However, I need to get it onto the network (I'm syncing over IR right now) and I had hoped to use a 3Com 3C589ET card. It's a 10bT card with MIPS WinCE drivers, so it should work. However, I ran into 2 problems:
1) When I tried to use the 3Com install program it requested that I insert my Windows CE Services CD. Now, I know that ActiveSync is the replacement to Windows CE Services, but I cannot find a DL or an image of the old disk. Is there any way to bypass this requirement?
2) I tried to just hand copy over the DLLs (the instructions say to rename the 3C589M.dll (MIPS) to 3C589.dll and just use that one when prompted for a driver for the PC Card in slot 1. I did this, it still didn't work, and when I checked the registry entry for the 3c589 card it lists ndis.dll as the DLL. For some reason, ndis.dll is gone from /windows (along with a few other network dlls). I know they're stored in ROM, but they're not respawning (I had to delete atadisk.dll to get my Smartmedia adapter to work and a new one just showed up). What am I missing?
And any all help would be appreciated. Thanks!
