I'm sure the images exist, but until someone figures out how to flash the ROM (as discussed in a prior thread), we're treading water.

true, but other devices like the Gateway/Aol device runs from a CFlash, so it might work without having to flash the ROM

Which is what we are doing with CE2. Seeing that we are booting the v2 kernel the v3 files will not work and we can not run CE3...

ok, but does CE require the kernel to run from a ROM, I guess the ePods device is designed to run from the ROM, not the GW.

not to rehash an old horse, but as i understand it, this is where we're at with the image thing:

1. no-one has shared a 2.x or 3.x image. they exist, according to those that own them. alternatively, an epod could be purchased with one from the manufacturer (group buy?).
2. i've not heard of anyone actually building their own image using the ms tools. some claim they were going to/will try.
3. if such an image were available as a .bin, it could be flashed to the epods, but this requires physical access to the flash memory.

maybe some kind soul will anonymously leave such an image on www.idrive.com ?? visit "epods" folders and write it to the epods directory. it will then provide it to anyone that wants it gratis.
